Ask Me anything

no seriously, ask me anything… Today is the first time I’ve checked my tumblr in quite a while… i think it’s just what I need.  I don’t care, strangers, acquaintances,  friends etc.  ask me anything… seriously.  I feel like answering.

Didn’t think I’d be throwing a myspace link up ever again, but if you’ve never heard Suzy’s band before:

question for derby peeps

  • : Our league is organizing a men's team, and of course I'm going to do it! Having been all over the country (and once out of it) as an announcer, I've picked up every tip there is on equipment etc. What I need to know is this: what do you eat before practice? I don't want to hurl! Do you go light, or do you throw in more calories? Some tips on what to avoid would be great too! First practice is tomorrow, so the sooner the better. anything?

Seattle’s Rat City Rollergirls are sporting some awesome bus ads for 2012!

youngmary:

A post in praise of my friend Latenight Lyle — who along with his partner in crime Mello Joe announced the SOLD OUT World Cup Roller Derby bouts last week in Toronto, Ontario.

Latenight said on FB earlier that he announced 68 bouts this year (52 weeks in a year means he was a busy bee!) and I am always watching the progress of he and Mello Joe like a hawk.  They are driven, talented, and bring a great dedication to Roller Derby- a sport that is new to our area and I am insanely enthusiastic about.

Congrats to Latenight and Mello Joe from the bottom of my heart.  I promise (HERE AND NOW!) to delve deeper into their cool-as-shit jobs as derby announcers once I get my full website and print up and running in 2012.
